Part-Time Production Operative (permanent position)

Join our production team! We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual to join our small but growing production team. Main duties involve assisting the Production Manager with production of our luxury gelato and sorbets, predominantly working on the production line preparing and filling retail pots, monitoring quality, carrying out stock takes and monitoring stock levels/ stock rotation, general cleaning and deep cleaning of machinery and production areas, and maintaining high food hygiene standards at all times. The ideal candidate will be able to work well as part of a team, but also be confident in working alone and able to use initiative. Attention to detail and high standards of working are paramount. you'll take pride in your work and be enthusiastic about helping us create our high end gelato. You'll be in a fast paced environment and on your feet all day. Previous experience working in food production/ preparation essential. Minimum L2 Food Hygiene certification required. Experience of working to HACCP and associated paperwork desirable. This is a permanent, part-time position at our SALSA approved production facility at South Battisborough Farm. Start date January 2024. Rates of pay above Nat. Min. wage, between £11 - £13 - hourly rate dependent on experience. 3 -4 days a week, shift patterns to be discussed but no evenings or weekends. Part-Time Production Assistant (permanent position)

Duties include opening and weighing out ingredients, packing ice cream, monitoring stock rotation, making up wholesale orders ready for deliveries, washing up, general cleaning, maintaining high food hygiene standards at all times. This is a key role within our production team, so you should have a can do attitude and be willing to take on all tasks large or small. You'll be able to work well as part of a team, as well as able to use your initiative when working alone. This is a physical role and you'll be on your feet all day in a fast paced environment. Applicants will ideally have experience in a similar role & a minimum of L2 Food Hygiene cert. is desirable. Start date January 2024. 3-4 days a week. Shift hours/ patterns to be discussed with applicants, no evenings or weekends. Rates of pay above Nat. Min. wage between £11 - £13- hourly rate dependent on experience. Company pension Uniform & PPE provided.

Delivery Driver/ Warehouse Operative 

Part-time delivery driver/ warehouse operative required, increasing to full-time during peak season (May-Sept). Packing and delivering ice cream orders to our wholesale customers across Devon and beyond. Responsibilities include picking and loading delivery vehicle, monitoring stock rotation, keeping to delivery schedules, tracking and recording freezer temperatures, providing great customer service while delivering, keeping the van clean and tidy. Working hours will require an early morning start. Must have a flexible attitude towards shift hours. Will be required to wear PPE. You should be over 25 with a full, clean UK driving license. Knowledge of local area/roads, with experience of driving a larger vehicle. Uniform & PPE provided.

Scoop team members (temporary seasonal position) NOW CLOSED FOR 2023 - positions reopening March 2024

Saturdays & Sundays & bank holidays (with additional shifts available during school holidays). Serving customers scooping ice cream, making milkshakes & hot drinks, taking payments, general cleaning, being friendly and welcoming and providing a great customer experience at all times. Applicants will ideally have previous experience in a customer facing role serving food/ drinks. Shift hours 11:15am til 5:30pm with 30 min unpaid lunch break.
